August Meetup

Aug 14th, 2014

7:00 PM

1445 New York Ave NW
Suite 100
Washington, DC. 20005
(Note new location)

Our August meet-up will have a slightly different format with only a single presentation.

Sean Soper from The Washington Post will be presenting on zsync and how you can use it to download lots of data while keeping your users happy. This is similar to the technology Apple uses to deliver app updates, sending only the differences instead of a single large binary.

You can sign-up for the event at Eventbrite.

100% Pure Geek

No, we are not in the chocolate business. We are, however, obsessed with Cocoa – Apple’s programming framework for Mac OS X including the iPhone. We also delve into other Apple-related technologies such as Swift and mobile Safari. Our meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month where members present projects and tutorials. You should join us!

Speakers Needed!

We're always looking for new speakers. If you think you've got a great Apple-related topic to present on and don't mind sharing it in a public space with your fellow geeks then drop us a line. Typically we book at least two months out so you'll have plenty of time to prepare. Both confirmed and potential speakers should find our Speaker's Guide useful.

Looking for past presentations or snippets of code? Then look no further. In our archives you should be able to find just about any presentation ever given at one of our meetings along with accompanying code.
